We arrive in Canmore a few hours before we can check in to the condo. To fill a bit of time we stop by Quarry Lake, which is actually an old coal mine pit filled with 80 feet of water and turned into a park. It's cold with a stiff wind as a front pushes in, but Kathryn gathers a bouquet for Mom. Not shown: two separate wedding parties doing their photography nearby.
